What’s new in 2018?
After carefully listening to our customers and evaluating the feedback that we receive, we are pleased to announce that in addition to our Minor Emergency Department, GP clinics, Physio (Forde Clinic), Blackberry Hearing and Hypnosis we are introducing the following services over the next few weeks.
Lisa Hughes BSc (Hons) PGD/PGC will be bringing her clinic, Mourne Scan Clinic to RocDoc from February 2018. These clinics will be held each Thursday and will be by appointment only. The ultrasound scans can cover pregnancy scans, general scans and musculosketal scans and all undertaken by fully qualified diagnostic radiographers with experience of working in the NHS, HSE and private clinics.
Podiatry / Chiropody clinic
John Walsh MChSI, BSC (Hons) Podiatry will be joining our team with the first clinic being held on Thursday 1 February 2018 by appointment only. John is trained to assess, diagnose and treat foot and lower limb problems. These include skin and nail problems, foot and ankle injuries, foot complaints related to diabetes and other medical conditions and problems with gait or walking.
Mindfulness / Psychotherapy sessions
Kati Simpson will be commencing her sessions in March for mindfulness and psychotherapy. Growing evidence is showing that practicing Mindfulness on a regular basis can improve people’s sense of well-being, their relationship with themselves & others and improves their capacity to enjoy life. People come to therapy for various reasons such as difficulties coping with anxiety, depression, insomnia, bereavement, phobias, OCD, relationship issues, life transitions, stress, finding meaning in life, finding balance or for help in enhancing overall wellbeing.
We will release more information about each new service along with how you can book appointments, etc. over the next couple of weeks.
