Fair notice procedure – RocDoc and Centric Health FAQ sheet
RocDoc GP Ashbourne comes under new ownership from 13th June 2022. From this date, the practice will become part of the Centric Health Group of GP Practices, an Irish owned primary care company.
Who are Centric Heath?
Centric Health is a high-quality Primary Care group with a growing network of family GP practices and patients across Ireland. The company was founded in 2004 by two doctors, Dr Maurice Cox and Dr Ray Power. Centric Health was established with a goal to provide healthcare in a community setting, centered on the needs of our patients. Centric Health are constantly evolving and striving to ensure that they provide world class care for more than 450,000 patients across Ireland. Centric Health are proud to say that they now have over 1000 clinical staff working to support patients need across all practices.
What does this mean for you our patient?
- Your medical care will now be managed and maintained by Centric Health.
- Dr Julio Gomez, Dr Himayat Huma, Nurse Audrey O’ Sullivan and the existing team will be delighted to continue providing medical care to you and your family.
- The opening hours will be 9am to 5pm.
Do I have to move to Centric Health?
- No, If you would prefer to transfer to another GP of your choosing , please contact the practice at admin@rocdoc.ie or download and complete the Release of information/transfer to another GP form and we will transfer your medical records through a secure portal.
- Please advise us before 13th June 2022. After this date Centric Health will become the noted Data Controller of your medical data.
- Please call the practice on 0818 543 999 or email admin@rocdoc.ie if you have any concerns.
Do I need to re-register if I transfer my medical files to Centric Health?
- No, you will not need to do anything; the change of ownership of the practice has no effect on your registration and your entitlement.
- Centric Health will ask that you complete a registration form. Please see attached for your convenience.
What happens to my data if I choose to do nothing?
- After 13th June 2022, all remaining patient records will transfer to Centric Health. You have the option at any time to transfer to another GP practice, at which time your file will be placed in an inactive status by Centric Health and will be securely transferred to a named GP.
